Our Early Interventionists work with credentialed professionals whose backgrounds include child development, nursing, social work, and special education. These experts are qualified to assess six domains of your child’s development: gross motor coordination, fine motor coordination, social skills, language skills, cognitive skills, and self-help strategies. Early interventionists also provide invaluable parent and caregiver education, as well as specific intervention that targets your child’s special needs.

Our OT’s conduct assessments and provide direct treatment and consultative therapy in the areas of fine motor coordination, sensory integration, activities of daily living, self regulation, cognition, and feeding. We also provide parent and caregiver training. Maintaining effective communication between your family, our team, and other healthcare providers participating in your child’s care remains our highest goal.

Pediatric Physical Therapists conduct evaluations, direct treatment, and provide consultative therapy in the areas of gross motor coordination, fine motor coordination, orthopedic and neurological development, self-help strategies, and sensory functioning. We also provide parent and caregiver training. Our goal is to consistently maintain excellent communication between your family, our team, and other healthcare providers participating in your child’s care.

Pediatric Speech and Language Therapists conduct evaluations, direct treatment, and provide consultative therapy for children with articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language problems, auditory processing and neurological disorders, and oral-motor deficits. Again, our goal is to maintain effective communication between your family, our team, and other healthcare providers participating in your child’s care.

Baby Builders offers developmental playgroups through First 5 Contra Costa County. This program is administered by First 5 Contra Costa and children are assessed for their fit in the program. Classes are comprised of eight, 1.5 hour, classes held in Richmond, Concord and Antioch area. Graciela, with her team, leads these classes. Measure outcomes have shown the progress children are making toward meeting their developmental goals.

TheraSuit Method® Intensive Program is an intensive individualized therapy program that speeds up functional progress. The program uses the TheraSuit® (a soft canvas suit with bungee-like cords attached) and the Universal Exercise Unit (“Spider Cage”) to allow the child to learn new & correct patterns of movement through strengthening and functional skills practice in a safe environment . The TheraSuit® Program is ideal for those looking to meet functional goals at a faster rate as compared to traditional therapy.
